Bid costs: ladder 1–2 +20% picks 1–18, ladder 3–4 +10% picks 1–18, ladder 5–10 no change, ladder 11–18 10% discount picks 1–36. Also includes max two picks to match, 412-point deficit cap, future first required to access deficit, top-five protection compensation awarded only when Night One is concluded, no compensation when a club is projected to match its own top-five tied-player bid, dynamic Round 1 expansion for matched bids, AFL-style list spot phantom pick sweeps, pick trimming above list spots, and allowed pick-selling below list spots.

Welcome to the PommyInOz Draft Simulator

Build your own AFL mock draft, manage bids and trades, then save the finished selections as a shareable image. Set up the draft before making the first selection.

1

Finalise the draft order

Paste all 18 clubs in draft priority order: the top line is pick 1 / ladder 18th and the bottom line is pick 18 / ladder 1st. Choose Update Live Ladder Draft Order to automatically load the current ladder and reverse it into draft order, or enter the 18 clubs manually.

2

Set Aidan and Cooper’s club

Inside Finalise Draft Order, choose Aidan McCartney’s active rights holder and Cooper Hodge’s active rights holder. These nominations lock after the first player is selected.

3

Run your mock draft

Use Select / Bid beside a player. Open-pool players are selected normally; tied players open the bid-matching screen when another club bids.

4

Finish and save

Use Conclude Night One after Round 1 and Band 2 selections, then choose Save Draft to download your selections as a branded PNG.

Other controls

Start / Resume: jump back to the current live pick.
Undo: reverse the most recent simulator action.
Trade Mode: exchange live or future picks between clubs.
Add Compensation: insert a free-agency compensation pick.
Preview: check a tied player’s bid cost before selecting.
Reset: clear the draft and return to the starting setup.

Bid Match

Trade Mode

Select two different clubs, choose live and future picks, then complete the trade. Clubs may sell live picks for futures and take fewer picks, but cannot trade into more live picks than their list spots. Future first ownership updates deficit access.

Add Free Agency Compensation

Free agency compensation bands: Band 1 is inserted directly after the club’s natural first-round pick. Band 2 is placed after the full first round. Band 3 is inserted directly after the club’s natural second-round pick. Band 4 is placed after the full second round. Band 5 is inserted directly after the club’s natural third-round pick. Any top-five protection compensation remains after every Band 2 selection.

Finalise Draft Order

Use Update Live Ladder Draft Order from the welcome guide or top toolbar to load the current ladder automatically. For a manual order, paste the 18-club draft priority order, one club per line. The simulator will build rounds 1–4 from that order, apply traded-pick overrides, then create AFL-style phantom sweeps for any clubs that need extra live picks based on list spots.
Dual-eligible player nominations: Choose which eligible club owns each player’s matching rights for this draft. The active club controls bids, matching costs and the club panel. Nominations lock after the first player is selected.
